The HjK (Hamburg Journal of Cultural Anthropology) issue “Augmented Realitites – Augmented Spaces. Digital textures of social and cultural spaces.”, published in 2016 at the University of Hamburg, presents a variety of texts exploring the everyday practices related to social media and mobile applications. Lena Wulf studies museal transfer via app in an auto ethnographic research. While Elke E. Reinhuber focuses on the art sector, Edith Blaschitz explores mobile apps in contemporary historical mediation work. In their contributions Marion Naeser-Lather and Gertraud Koch describe the use of social media by activist groups.
